So beautiful!—your text, David Hockney’s paintings (this is the first time I’ve seen them). It’s easy to understand his fascination with water in its various forms—versatile and chameleon-like, diaphanous and yet indestructible... It feels as though we know it, and yet it remains a mystery.

Let's describe his 1996 to nineteenninetyeight macintosh works as Idraw. That style became the template for shlock art from the south west of america but he gave it soul. The thing I like about it is that beyond Beetelgeuise somebody can take it farther.
